An alliance for the environment
The Club’s alliance with Fundació Alive, dedicated to researching and increasing awareness of the marine environment to improve its management and conservation, is reinforced by the installation of an office for the foundation based at the Club’s Social Headquarters. The entity will also have a boat to carry out field work in the area of influence of the port.
For awareness and conservation of the environment
Thanks to this the Club will have advice and information on the evolution of the ecosystem near l’Escala in order to launch actions designed to promote the wealth and the development of its marine species. Furthermore it can depend on the support of the Foundation when organising the environmental conference on 16th July.
The Alive Foundation, for its part, will be supported by the different sections of the Club related to the collection of data for the research they are carrying out.
An alliance that is getting stronger
The relationship between the two entities started in 2021 with a first shared project, the first international photography competition in the Mediterranean, called MedFoto.
The success of this experience and a very clear common objective, the preservation of the natural environment, have motivated the desire to continue and extend lines of collaboration.
