Communiqué No. 8 – COVID-19
On Monday 1st June, the health region of Girona finally entered Phase 2 of the de-escalation plan. This widens the possibilities of enjoying sailing and doing sea sports and therefore, of enjoying being at the Club again, as we really love to.
With reference to the above, we would like to inform you of the sailing activities that can be carried out at the port during this phase:
- Owners or renters who live in the same health region where the boat is moored, will be able to go sailing. The occupancy of 75% of people authorised on the boat’s certificate may not be exceeded unless they live together. In this case they can reach 100% occupancy, up to a maximum of 20 people.
- Only one person can sail on each jet ski, unless they live together.
- There is no time restriction for navigation, but this will be limited to the adjacent waters of the territories of the sanitary region provided that the limitations or restrictions contained in the respective certificates, documents or titles of pleasure ships and vessels are not exceeded as well as the titled people who govern them.
- Sports and recreational fishing is allowed. If you are accompanied and unable to maintain the safety distance, masks must be worn.
- Activities, courses and guided routes for groups of up to 20 people at the Club’s Sailing School.
- The changing rooms can be used as long as the measures of prevention and hygiene are respected.
- Foreign leisure boats are not allowed access without a port of call in Spain, unless all the crew on board are professional.
- Varador l’Escala is open, but it can only be used while maintaining security measures.
