Once again we are working on the maintenance and the improvement of the facilities. This year we have a plan in place which integrates almost 120 activities designed to do just this.

Find out about them!

Following on from the commitment initiated by the Board of Directors in 2021, the Club will work towards its goal of energy transition and sustainable development, reducing the impact of its activity on the natural environment.

A commitment to renewable energy

The installation in 2021 of a photovoltaic plant at the Administrative Headquarters has been seen as a very positive move. On one hand it managed to generate an annual production that was higher than expected, and on the other hand it has saved up to 2,878 tonnes of CO2 in the atmosphere between April and September.

In order to optimise this efficiency, the existing plant will be extended to include 36 new 455 W plaques.

A more energy efficient port

Reducing the consumption of electricity is vital, but it is also important to study the different areas of the port installation to find out which ones are consuming the most electricity and in which periods of time.

In order to be more efficient we will instal new meters.

Reduction in CO2 emissions

With the aim of continuing to support an integrated quality and environmental management system in its facilities and services, the Club has jointed the Voluntary Agreement Programme for CO2 reduction impelled by Generalitat de Catalunya.

Among the actions planned are the calculation and analysis of the CO2 footprint generated by the employees of the Club in order to propose ways in which to reduce it. We are also planning to acquire a new electric vehicle for internal transport.

The Club’s port services team have already started on the maintenance of docks and pontoons, concentrating their efforts this year on the G, H, I, J, K, M, N, O and P docks. In addition, some of the water and electricity service turrets on docks Q, R and S will be replaced with more efficient, safe and accessible ones.

This year there will be a new area for cleaning kitchen utensils. This room, which can be accessed with the same code used for the changing rooms, will be located in the Social Headquarters.

We will continue to improve the image of the landscaped areas around the Clota Petita and the Club’s central car park and the placement of new benches made of recycled materials in the pedestrianised areas.

Improvement of Marine Maintenance area

The renovation of the furniture in the Marine Maintenance area will improve the service to members and users.

Improving pedestrian access from the Sailing School

Having improved the signage of this area in 2021 in order to optimise regulation of its different uses, this year a new ramp will be fitted to facilitate access for users on foot and on wheeled vehicles.
