This year in July, two of our classic cruise regattas are back, the Ruta de la Tramuntana and the Escalagde, and they’re back in a renewed format so as to make the most of the Costa Brava.

Find out about them!

XVIII Ruta de la Tramuntana – Costa Brava Regatta

The first cruise date this July will be the Ruta de la Tramuntana. This regatta in the Costa Brava will be hosted again in l’Escala with a new competition format.

We are therefore launching a new leg that offers the crews a 30-mile route with departure from and arrival in l’Escala, which will take them as far as the Massa d’Oros islet, located in front of Cap de Creus.

The new style Tramuntana strengthens the competition’s ambition to become the reference regatta of the Costa Brava with operational base and confluence of the two legs in the Club Nàutic l’Escala.

XVI Escalagde – IX Veles d’Empúries

The second cruise date that you can’t miss this summer, and which is arriving with new initiatives, is the Escalagde, which will be held between the 15th and 17th July. On this occasion, the regatta that unites the towns of l’Escala and Cap d’Agde, in the South of France, also incorporates a new leg.

The cross-border regatta will once again lead the Catalan and French crews from Cap d’Agde to l’Escala in a 90-mile route that will start on Thursday 15th July at about 7 am. The challenge that has been added is the return trip, which will start on Saturday 17th July.

La XVI Escalagde – IX Empúries is a joint initiative of the Club Nàutic l’Escala and the Societé des Régates d’Agde et du Cap with the collaboration of the town hall of l’Escala, the Diputació de Girona, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Federació Catalana de Vela, the Federació Francesa de Vela, Sodéal, and Turisme de Cap d’Agde.
