The regulation of the anchorage in the posidonia areas and the mooring buoys available for this season in the marine environment of the Montgrí, the Medes Islands and the Baix Ter Natural Park, as well as in the El Cargol in L’Escala area has already been published.

Cala Montgó:

    • 10 posidonia signaling buoys that delimit the area where anchoring is prohibited. These are yellow, large, and have a cross. Outside the delimited area, anchoring is allowed.
    • Round, yellow and medium-sized buoys to signal the bathing area installed at the bottom and sides of the cove, where it is not allowed to access by boat.
    • 30 new red buoys for recreational boats located in the posidonia area. These are added to those already existing in 2020, reaching a total of 90.
      • 25 buoys for boats up to 9 m
      • 5 buoys for boats up to 15 m

The mooring buoys are managed by the Cala Montgó operator, with whom the Nautical Clubs of L’Escala and L’Estartit have reached an agreement. Thanks to that, the two marina get involved in the installation of ecological moorings in the posidonia area while the operator applies a 25% discount on its prices and services.

Members and users of the Annual and Season Forfaits will be able to enjoy this discount. To get it applied, request your Club digital member card to be able to identify yourself through the Club App.

The field has been expanded with four new buoys for boats up to 12 meters:

    • 16 blue buoys for boats up to 8 m.
    • 4 blue buoys for boats up to 12 m.
    • These buoys are free to use.

It must be taken into account that in order to preserve the posidonia within the Natural Park and in the El Cargol area, it is not allowed to anchor within the area of the buoys.

Once the buoys are removed, anchoring will be allowed as long as the posidonia is not affected.
