Environment and quality management are two key aspects of the Club’s mission and are evident on a daily basis in all services.  The conservation of the environment is without doubt an aspect that we have to take into account and one in which the members and users of the Club play a key role.  Thank you for your collaboration!

Main activities

On the one hand, in 2020 you will be able to identify waste disposal containers more easily, which will allow better separation of residues. On the other hand, the social and sports events will be more sustainable with the application of new measures to keep reducing the use of plastic.

Your help is vital

It’s everyone’s responsibility to maintain good navigation practices, aimed at conserving the environment and ensuring security, as well as reporting any incident or spillage.

We ask you once again to request the Blue Flag for Boats and to support us in our mission to look after the environment.   Apply for it at the Club’s offices.

Time for action!

We are preparing two ‘clean up our environment’ sessions. On 9th May, which coincides with the Let’s Clean Europe campaign, we are joining the Xarxes que pesquen plastics (Nets that catch plastic), a day for cleaning up the land and sea in this area.  This activity forms part of the actions of the desemBOSSA’t Project promoted by the Camp d’Aprenentatge Empúries (Empuries Learning Camp), l’Escala town hall, the union of shopkeepers in the municipality and the Fishermen’s Guild.  Our ultimate goal? To remove plastic bags by 2023!

After the summer season, on 19th September we will celebrate the second edition of the Club’s Neteja de Fons Marí (Clean the Seabed). Having enjoyed the sea every day, we want to leave the coast just as we would always like to find it… Will you help us?
