Find out about the Underwater Activities Section of the Club!
The Underwater Activities Section is already a reality. The new meeting point of the Club especially for all lovers of scuba diving, snorkelling and underwater photography was announced last Saturday 24th April. The event took place through the Zoom virtual platform at 6 pm and about twenty people attended.
Share experiences around the seabed
The Underwater Activities Section was created with the aim of promoting scuba diving, snorkelling and underwater photography, but also with the objective of disseminating and sharing good environmental practices and respect for the marine ecosystem. Activities include talks, trips to discover the seabed in l’Escala and activities to raise awareness and clean up the marine environment of l’Escala.
We are starting the year 2021 with a new International Photography Competition dedicated to the Mediterranean. Following the theme The Sea and People, MedFoto is a competition open to all. Anyone can take part and it encompasses all aspects of the sea. From the seascape and marine life to professional, nautical and sports activities that take place there; dedicated as much to what happens above the surface as to what happens underwater.

This Section is open to everyone, regardless of whether they have their own boat or not. If you are a member or user of the Club and wish to participate with your boat you will get benefits and discounts. You can sign up through the Orca Diving Club’s underwater activities centre.
