More than 50 years of history

More than half a century dedicated to the sea

On 24th May 1968 a group of friends founded the Club Nàutic l’Escala. They were united by their common interest, the sea, a link that is still at the heart of the Club today. Everything has changed around it… don’t forget that 50 years of history is half a century.

The initial membership pool of 92 has now over 700 members and the infrastructure has been extended to accommodate them in the best possible way. There are more and better quality services available, as well as the programme of activities, which has diversified over time.

All this, together with a full calendar of sporting events, makes the Club an outstanding meeting point on the Costa Brava for all enthusiasts of the sea and sailing.

Port and sport are the two main pillars of the Club’s history. Two ways of opening the doors to the sea and all the wellbeing it brings. Two axes around which the present, past and future of the Club revolve.
